What better accompaniment to love (and heartbreak) than food?!? We're making this month's CINEMACHINE into one overindulgent potluck.
Join us on the sappiest day of the year to discuss “the more-than, the beyond representation, the knowing-with…the agitation-that-worlds” (Erin Manning) or what we might otherwise call LOVE.
Admission: $5 suggested donation or pay what you can. All proceeds go to keep CINEMACHINE running.
February’s CINEMACHINE will feature a discussion of Xavier Dolan’s 2013 film “Laurence Anyways”. Passionate and powerfully acted, this drama charts ten years in the relationship of a male-to-female transexual’s relationship with her best friend and lover. This film will make you weak in the knees, in all the right ways. Let’s talk about love, that spark that shapes an enthusiasm that will forever exceed us. xoxox

As per the usual, we will get a bit heady with some questions and theories on luv. I'll post some ideas leading up to the event to get us thinking.
